In this webinar, City Schools of Decatur present the work they are doing to raise dyslexia awareness and promote Structured Literacy in the schools.

About this event

This live recorded webinar begins with IDA-GA board members Jennifer Burch and Amelia Morel explaining what dyslexia is, the importance of early identification and intervention, and what Structured Literacy is and why it is important.

Following Jennifer and Amelia’s presentation, City Schools of Decatur present the work they are doing to raise dyslexia awareness and promote Structured Literacy in the schools. Gail Hardwick is one of CSD’s Literacy Coaches and Courtney Simon is CSD’s Director of ELA and Social Studies. 

Principal Holly Brookins and Superintendent Kristy Beam joined the panel for the Q & A at the end.
