Let’s get creative and have some fun!

Georgia (and EVERYONE), this is your chance to meet teens in Oregon’s Student Empowerment Group, Miss Greater Atlanta Outstanding Teen 2023, and others in your SAME boat from all across the United States! Kids, parents, teachers, advocates, … EVERYONE is welcome to join us on Tuesday to Rock for Dyslexia! Let’s enjoy some time during Dyslexia Awareness Month to share and laugh – and get creative!

Bring acrylic paints, brushes (or paint pens), and a permanent marker.  You will also want to bring a prepped rock (have it painted a base color and write #dyslexiayouarenotalone on one side).

During our time together, you can listen, talk if you’d like, and paint your rock in whatever way you would like! At the end, we will vote on our Favorite Rock. The winner wins a $25 Amazon Gift Card! 

After the event, you will also have the chance to win an Amazon gift card by “planting” (placing) your rock creation(s) somewhere for others to find. The goal is to increase dyslexia awareness while having a bit of fun! Be sure to take a picture of your rocks where you plant them and tag the IDA-GA and IDA-OR on Instagram @IDAGeorgia @dyslexiayouarenotalone and/or on Facebook @DyslexiaIDAGA @DyslexiaOR. In your post, let us know where Georgia or the United States you have planted your rock. The more rocks you plant, the better your chance of winning! Plant your rocks and tag us any time from October 1 through midnight on October 31. ALSO, if you FIND a #dyslexiayourarenotalone rock, take a pic and tag us!
