2024: HOPE YOU WILL JOIN US THIS YEAR IN SPREADING AWARENESS THROUGH ROCK FOR DYSLEXIA! 

Help us send messages through art and words. Paint a rock with encouraging words and/or paint something funny, beautiful, colorful, intricate, or very simple. It’s your creation, your choice! 

Submit your entry via this form. Up to 10 rock photos are allowed per entry.  Each rock design submitted by October 31 will be entered into the drawing to be held on November 1. Will you be the lucky winner? 

The winner will be announced on November 1Prize $50. However,  if we reach 100 rock design entries, we will up the prize to $100. If we reach 200 or more rock entries, we will offer a $200 prize. SPREAD THE WORD!

 ALL AGES welcome! 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Find a rock with a smooth surface.
  2. Paint the rock a base color. (optional)
  3. Paint a design on one side of your rock. This design could include empowering words or a painting of something funny, interesting, beautiful, or creative.
  4. On the other side, write #dyslexiaawareness, #dyslexiayouarenotalone, or any other dyslexia-related hashtag. It might be easiest to write this with a thin permanent marker or the Sharpie Creative Marker.
  5. Fill out this form and attach a photo of your rock.*
    The form asks for the following:
    Your Name, Email Address, City, State, Photo of your rock(s), Hashtag written on your rock(s), and Comment about your rock design(s) or a message you want people to know about dyslexia. 
    *You are welcome to email us at info@idaga.org if you have difficulty opening the form.

IDA Oregon and IDA Georgia will post these photos, hashtags, and messages on social media with the hope that they will be “found” and shared far and wide to raise dyslexia awareness.

We ALSO hope you will leave your rock outside somewhere for it to be found and cherished by a passerby.
