A Special Evening at The Carter Center
hosted by IDA Georgia
Atlanta has been chosen as the host city for the IDA National Conference. Just five days after the IDA-GA Dyslexia Dash, a global network of researchers, educators, families, and individuals with dyslexia will arrive in our city. In conjunction with the IDA Reading, Literacy & Learning Conference, IDA Georgia is excited to offer a special evening opportunity for conference attendees and others in our Georgia community to gather together and connect.
On Thursday, October 23, at 7:30 PM, IDA Georgia will host An Evening at The Carter Center. The beautiful venue, located just a few miles from Emory University, offers a powerful and inspiring backdrop for mingling, networking, and celebrating our shared work. We will be offering ticket holders complimentary bus transportation to and from the Hyatt Regency in downtown Atlanta.
We are also thrilled to announce that we have invited Ray James, Head of School at The Boyce L. Ansley School, to deliver a brief address and be available throughout the evening to chat and share insights about the school’s mission and impact. His mission resonates deeply with our organization’s goals, and we encourage you to listen to him speak with Susan Lambert in this podcast episode from Amplify’s Science of Reading podcast. Learn more below. **
Just Added! During the welcome address, IDA Georgia will honor the winners of the Leadership-in-Literacy and Outstanding Service Awards. Recipients of these awards receive two tickets each to An Evening at The Carter Center. Submit your nomination here: https://ga.dyslexiaida.org/ida-ga-award-nominations-2025/
