IDA Georgia’s 2024 Dimensions of Dyslexia Conference: The Keys to Structured Literacy is an in-person conference to be held in Milledgeville, GA, on the Georgia College & State University campus on Saturday, September 28. This year, we will also host a Friday night welcome dinner for speakers, board members, and sponsors. The full-day conference is an opportunity for educators, administrators, parents, advocates, psychologists, and others to connect with one another and increase their understanding of dyslexia and related language-based learning issues and how best to address the needs of an individual with dyslexia through evidence-based, structured literacy practices.

SCHOOL CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS: The school raffle is open until March 31, 2024. Principals, Assistant Principals, Literacy Coaches submit the school’s application. Each winning school is invited to submit the names of 5 teachers who will each receive a complimentary registration to the conference.

BREAKOUT SESSION SPEAKERS: The Call for Speaker Proposals is open until March 4. Submit your proposal HERE. Presenters will have 1 hour and 15 minutes for their session to allow time for presentation plus Q&A.
We have lined up an amazing review committee to do blind reviews of the submissions, working to select a balance of sessions that align with the following:
1. Topic and theme are relevant to the conference.
2. The presentation is aligned with IDA Knowledge and Practice Standards.
3. The presentation is aligned with IDA’s mission.
4. The presentation is relevant to current issues in the field of dyslexia or other reading disabilities.
5. Learning outcomes are clearly defined.
6. There is evidence that the presentation is based on scientific research.
