New 2026 Teen Board Structure

Which option matches your goals and time availability?

Teen Captains
Captains are Teen Board Members who take ownership of a specific project or event.

Captains will:

Work closely with an assigned Adult Advisor.
Lead the planning and execution of their chosen project.
Attend monthly Teen Board meetings and periodic check-ins with their advisor.
Collaborate with other Captains to share ideas and support IDA-GA initiatives throughout the year.

Teen Board Ambassadors (Volunteers)
Ambassadors are teens who want to stay involved with the IDA-GA Teen Board but are unable to commit to year-long projects or monthly meetings.

Ambassadors will:

Serve as event volunteers for key IDA-GA events, such as the Dyslexia Dash and Rock for Dyslexia.
Be notified of opportunities to assist with additional projects or community events as they arise.
Participate as their schedules allow—no ongoing monthly commitment required.
