“…even the most competent teacher cannot be successful in teaching reading, especially to children who are at risk or struggling with literacy, if provided with inadequate instructional contexts or inappropriate instructional materials and approaches…”

The Dyslexia Dash has a 5K fun run/walk or a 1-mile fun run/walk for children under 10 years of age or under.  If you are interested in participating in the Dash, CLICK HERE for more information and to register.

Along with the fun of running with your family and/or friends, you also receive a Dyslexia Dash t-shirt.  There are medals for the first three finishers of certain age categories at the in-person race event.  There also will be a kids’ fun zone, a DJ, sponsorship tents, a special appreciation drawing for prizes for teachers (NEW THIS YEAR!), a 50/50 draw, and an opportunity to purchase the Until Everyone Can Read baseball hat.

For those choosing the virtual race, participants will run their own course and can post their times.  As soon as you register, you can run the race. The Dyslexia Dash website will be open to receiving posting of times on October 2, 2022 and will remain open until October 22, 2022. Participants will have the option to post their times via the Dyslexia Dash website, using text message or sending an email. Virtual race participants will receive their race t-shirt through the mail during the week of October 23.
