Even in the secondary grades, efficient word reading is essential for comprehension—and far too many students are still struggling.

Join us August 4–6 at 4:00 PM EST daily for a 3-part webinar series: Cracking the Code in the Secondary Grades: Word-Level Reading Support for Adolescent Readers,  led by Dr. Brennan Chandler designed to help educators strengthen word-level reading in adolescent learners with literacy difficulties.

August 4 | Strengthening the Foundation
Explore why word recognition remains critical in the secondary grades and how multisyllabic word complexity affects adolescent readers’ comprehension.

August 5 | What Works: Research-Based Routines
Learn four proven routines that support word reading, including instruction in vowel patterns, syllables, morphology, and oral reading fluency.

August 6 | Implementing What Works
Discover how to use assessment data to plan small-group instruction, differentiate support, and overcome implementation barriers.

Whether you teach reading directly or support literacy across content areas, this series will help you understand what works, why it works, and how to make it work for adolescent readers struggling to acquire proficient reading skills.

Don’t miss this opportunity to bring stronger, more effective reading instruction to your classroom.
