2026 Teen Board Structure

Which option matches your goals and time availability?

Teen Captains
Captains are Teen Board Members who take ownership of a specific project or event.

Captains will:

• Work closely with an assigned Adult Advisor.
• Lead the planning and execution of their chosen project.
• Attend monthly Teen Board meetings and periodic check-ins with their advisor.
• Collaborate with other Captains to share ideas and support IDA-GA initiatives throughout the year.

Teen Board Ambassadors (Volunteers)
Ambassadors are teens who want to stay involved with the IDA-GA Teen Board but are unable to commit to year-long projects or monthly meetings.

Ambassadors will:

• Serve as event volunteers for key IDA-GA events, such as the Dyslexia Dash and Rock for Dyslexia.
• Be notified of opportunities to assist with additional projects or community events as they arise.
• Participate as their schedules allow—no ongoing monthly commitment required.
