IDA-OR offers A Beginner’s Mini Course (4 Evenings): How to Teach Reading and Spelling with Sasha Borenstein

This beginner’s course is brought to you by IDA Oreg0n and is open to all IDA members and friends. The personalized and interactive learning experiences will equip you with knowledge, teaching skills, tried-and-tested tips and tricks, as well as learning materials to enrich your work with students!  Should you have questions, please email Danielle Thompson, the president of the IDA – Oregon Branch, at education@orbida.org.  PDU certificates (4 Hours) will be issued to attendees on completion of this course.

Presenter

Sasha Borenstein is a Golden Oak member of the International Dyslexia Association. She has been a classroom teacher, director of a clinic for children and adults with learning disabilities for 36 years, and a teacher trainer for 40 years. Her teaching marries the content of how to teach reading, spelling, and writing, with the processes of learning, language, memory, attention, and thinking skills.

Cost

The cost of this four-part series is $60 for IDA Members, $80 for non-members. Proceeds will go to The International Dyslexia Association-Oregon Branch Running The Distance Student Scholarship Fund.
